Monitoring of working equines in the brick kiln by local public representative and government authorities in Banke
24 May, 2018. A joint monitoring visit carried out by local public representatives, government officials and AHTCS in the brick kilns to observe the physical condition of working equines, working environment and facilities provided to the animals. This visit was carried on May 2018 in Baba and Baba, Taj , PBC and two star brick kilns situated at Janaki and Khajura Rural Municipality, Banke. During monitoring, the team observed the physical condition of working equine and other facilities like stable, equine path way, feed and working environment and found that need to be improved to ensure five freedoms of working animals. The team also discussed with the brick kiln owners and manager as well as equine owner and suggested them to care about working animal’s health and welfare and provide minimum and improved infrastructure and working environment according to the season. BK owners and equine owners were also sensitized about the provision guided by the Animal Welfare Directive-2073 and suggested to follow. BK owners have expressed their commitments to consider the suggestions and make available minimum infrastructure and good working environment to the working animals from the next brick kiln season. мфо займы наличными
