BACKGROUND:

SNPL has entered into Dairy Project under CSR from 1st Baisakh 2070 and the project ended on Ashadh 2072. The program was implemented by SNPL in association with AHTCS through the establishment of Cattle Development Center (CDC) at Santpur and Judibela VDCs in Rautahat district. The main activity of CDC was to provide Artificial Insemination (AI) and other veterinary services to cows at the center and doorsteps of the farmers. The trained AI workers are well equipped with AI package. These AI workers carried out AI services and other veterinary support services under the technical guidance and supervision of qualified veterinarian at farmer’s doorsteps. Apart from providing AI services by technician, the required training program and animal health camps are organized according to the provision of each event as agreed by both parties.

                                                                                                                                                                           

OBJECTIVE:

 To create sustainable livelihood for rural households in SNPLcatchment area by initiating dairy development interventions.

  • To increase productivity of milching animals by providing sustainable extension services.

 Summary on achievement of CDC project 2071-72:
