One-day training sessions for farmers, equid owners and equid users on AMR
Brooke, Action For Working Horses and Donkeys Supported SEWP of AHTCS, Nepalgunj office conducted one-day training sessions for farmers, equid owners and equid users on AMR, responsible use of drugs, biosecurity and preventive measures on 14th May 2025, Wednesday at AHTCS meeting hall, Ramlila Maidan, Shanti Path -13, Nepalgunj. A total of 26 equine owners/users participated in the program. The program begins informally with a short introduction of the organisation, history of AMR in Nepal, global scenario, problems faced due to AMR, antimicrobial resistance stewardship, and individual roles to mitigate the AMR problem, & biosecurity to prevent the disease outbreak in equine populations were the topics covered during the event. Lime distribution event was conducted following the presentation session to ensure effective Biosecurity protocol in the farm.
