Orientation Session on Improving Physical Infrastructure for Equine

On 17th February 2025, AHTCS Field Office Nepalgunj conducted an insightful orientation session at the Nepal Brick Kiln Association in Nepalgunj, Banke. The session aimed to raise awareness about the importance of improved physical infrastructure in brick kilns to ensure the health and welfare of working equines. A total of nine brick kiln (BK) managers from various brick kilns in the Banke district participated in the session.

The primary focus of the orientation was to highlight the critical role of BK managers in improving the physical facilities required to maintain the well-being of the equines working at the brick kilns. Participants learned about the essential infrastructure needed for proper hoof care, safe shelter, and adequate feeding and watering systems. The session also emphasized the positive impact these improvements can have on the overall productivity and health of the equines.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Nepal Brick Kiln Association, Banke, for providing the venue and coordinating the participants. We look forward to continuing our efforts in improving the welfare of working animals in the region.
